Exif Camera Serial Number

It does not report a serial number to the camera. I have an EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS. The lens was introduced in 2005. My copy was made in March 2011. It does provide an lens serial number to the camera. I have an EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS II. The lens was introduced in 2010. My copy was made in June 2010. I reports a lens serial number to the camera. No, Currently there are no apps which would be assigning shutter count / serial number etc. Car mechanic simulator 2014 system requirements free. Apps like that would have to keep on working on background and then edit Metadata of photos. On iOS, editing photo would need user's permission and would trigger an alert view saying 'Do you want app to allow modify the photo' etc.

EXIF Camera Info. EXIF Field Code. Exposure program. Spectral sensivity. Lens information. The serial number DOES appear in the EXIF data of the photos I've posted, so the same should happen to anyone who doesn't intentionally strip it out. I tried putting the number in a normal search, but it didn't match anything at all. 3) AND IF the EXIF data exist AND include the camera serial. You might know that in the past a copy of that picture, coming from that specific camera has been stored on your computer (if - say - you got the picture from a USB stick and uploaded it directly you won't find it on internal disk).

Are you sure your looking at a serial number for both sources?
I checked my 40D and the EXIF from a picture today and they match.

Are you looking at the serial number for the body? I also see a serial number labeled as 'internal serial number' that is only 8 characters long.

I have a 50D and my serial number is 10 digits long, and inside of DPP is shows the exact same 10 digit serial number.
If this is a new camera, I'd go back to the store and ask them to explain it. Sounds sort of funny. I got my camera in Jan of this year, and if your serial number has only 8 digits, then it sounds like a fake to me.
Matt.

A fake 50D? That's impossible.
What number is on the warranty card? on the box?

I'd do the following.
1. Call dateline.
2. Contact the seller.
3. Scream.
4. Eat ice cream.
any of those in no particular order

Hide exe in jpg and execute commands. I suck at Photoshop.

How odd. I've just checked my 400D, 40D, 50D and 5D and they all match the exif in DPP.

what could be the reason for the missmatch

I've no idea. The only thing I can imagine is that the serial number is embedded in the electrickery of the main board and perhaps that has been replaced for some reason or another. I know it's slightly different, but I have a lens which has a different serial number on the outer case to that of the internal chassis That's because Canon replaced the complete internals of the lens whilst it was under warranty.

Contact Canon and see what they have to say about the serial numbers. Obviously, if they are different only one is valid. It's possible that you have a stolen camera and a fake serial number tag has been applied to the camera.
I deal ONLY with reputable dealers, avoiding this sort of problem among many others.
